London Fencing Club is the busiest club in the UK providing coaching and training facilities to more than 300 members, introductory courses for hundreds of beginners, adults and children, and employing 8 international Fencing Masters. Most of us are recreational fencers but there is also a stong competitive section.
If you've never (or little) fenced before you might consider taking one of our dedicated beginners courses which will allow you to get the feel of the sport or come back to something you liked many years ago. And you could stay with us afterwards! We are probably the only club in London offering group lessons for advanced beginner/intermediate level of fencing. This means that upon complition of a beginners course you'll be able continue learning during the on going classes with our fencing masters. Advanced classes are offered in all weapons and include warm up/footwork, bladework or tactical lesson and free fencing (click here for timetable). Private lessons are available from 7 pm onwards. The club has excellent international coaches, all top experts in their weapons. We also organize training holidays abroad, fencing weekends away and various socials. Drop in visitors from other clubs, cities and coutries are very welcome. Please let us know about your visit in advance and pre-pay for it here. The club membership costs between £ 35 and £ 55 per month depending on the number of days you choose to attend. There are consession rates for full time actors. Six weeks courses for beginners and intermediates cost £ 99, this includes the membership and a stock of equipment you can borrow. You can also take intensive workshops which run on Saturdays between 11 am and 2 pm. The club is conveniently located within walking distance from the City of London.
